I’m a designer and illustrator, born and raised in the Lehigh Valley.
I went to NCC, where I majored in Communication Design.
But… Enough about that. Let’s talk shop.
I Take Fun Seriously.
The most exciting part of art is seeing my improvement in real time. And while my first love is illustration, this goes beyond just technical skills. Anyone can make a pretty picture, but the challenge of working harder to reach an audience lets me gain a deeper understanding of what really makes a design succeed. A great piece needs to consider both the creator’s vision and the viewer’s desires.
I value that aspect of connection.
As a designer, I'm like a dive bar. My work isn’t bland, but it’s not inaccessible either. Still, it’s my own taste that makes me especially considerate in my work. I pull a lot of inspiration from the cartoons and books that first sparked my interest in art as a child. Some people will see things that are fun and dismiss them as being childish. I make sure my viewers can come away from my work with an appreciation for those whimsical, joyful design styles. I create things that are fun and exciting enough to capture your inner child, but still with thoughtful polish to wow adult viewers, too.
